How to "Liken All Scriptures Unto Us"

Want a simple pattern that will help your family “liken all scriptures unto us”? This is it. I learned it in the seminary training program years ago, and it has blessed me tremendously.

No need for lesson plans or prep-work before Come Follow Me. If you know this pattern you’ll be able to open the scriptures together as a family and find meaningful messages each time. And you’ll be teaching your children to do the same, in their personal scripture study.

These steps might seem quite simple and straightforward. And maybe you’re already doing them. But notice next time you’re studying the scriptures as a family. See if you’re stopping, even just once or twice, to identify a beautiful doctrine or principle and bringing it ALL THE WAY back to you, today. That is how we make it “for our profit and learning” (1 Nephi 19:23).

Here's an example, using a short phrase found in the following chapter.
